Honda rancher manual shift problems

 · Hey guys I am new here but am having some problems. My rancher AT is having trouble shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. I get a grinding and it seems like it is having trouble shifing gears. After it shifts into 2nd it is fine. Also it does it in Auto and Manual. Any thoughts? Honda Rancher ECU Bypass TRX ES TE and FE Models. Requires minor modification to the stock wire harness at handlebar and shift motor connector color coded easy to follow pictures with directions. Requires 2 relays (not included) 5 pin bosch style relays, waterproof style fuse protection.  · I've searched the forum and could not find anyone who has had my exact problem so I thought I would ask. I have a rancher with miles, thing is like new. When you shift it into first gear with the electric shift, the display will show "1" and then "- .

I have recently purchased an Honda ES bolt on shifter from ACE's in Meridian, Ms. We have installed it on our ATV ourselves and has made all the difference in the world. It has fixed all our problems. You can contact them at honda_experts@www.doorway.ru or call Tyler @ Check to to if the clutch plates are stuck. Pull up on the shifter and keep it up while attempting to go forward. If it goes then the plates are stuck. To unstick them just drive around like this in a high gear and it should break loose. Otherwise the clutch basket could have grooves worn in it from the tabs on the friction plates. Nothing worse than being on a trail in the middle of no where and the automatic shift gear won't shift. You need to know how to do this manually and keep th.
